Our lawful bases for the collection and use of your data
Our lawful bases for collecting or using personal information for dealing with queries, complaints or claims are:
-
Legitimate interests. We’re collecting or using your information because it benefits you, our organisation
or someone else, without causing an undue risk of harm to anyone. All of your data protection rights may apply, except the
right to portability. Our legitimate interests are:
- We use the details people send us through our website or by email to reply to their enquiries. This benefits them as well as us, because they have contacted us and expect a reply. We only ask for what we need to respond (a name, an email address, an optional company name and the message), we don't use it for marketing, and we only share it with the providers that run our website, contact form and email. The risk to the people involved is low, and they can ask us to delete their details at any time.
For more information on our use of legitimate interests as a lawful basis you can contact us using the contact details set out above.
Where we get personal information from
- Directly from you
How long we keep information
We keep enquiries sent through our website or by email for two years after our last contact, unless they lead to a contract, in which case we keep them for as long as that contract and our legal record-keeping require. Our web host keeps technical logs, such as IP addresses, only for as long as it needs them to deliver and protect the site.
For more information on how long we store your personal information or the criteria we use to determine this please contact us using the details provided above.
